Nicole R. Triplett, Limited Licensed Psychologist, holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University, with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. Nicole has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families and has experience working with delinquent and abused children in a psychiatric setting alongside of medical and psychiatric doctors. In addition, Nicole has worked in Kalamazoo Public Schools facilitating groups focusing on anger management, self esteem and conflict resolution. She has completed evidence based training in Motivational Interviewing, and provides outreach therapy for the Department of Human services. Nicole believes that you hold on to your history at the expense of your destiny, and encourages and assists her clients to let go of their past hurt and embrace the journey to their destiny. Nicole works especially well with clients experiencing anxiety, employing talk therapy, teaching, coaching, exposure and deep breathing exercises to help clients learn how to cope with and overcome their concerns.  Nicole has experienced significant outcomes when working with couples and finds this work to be one of her passions. Therapy works best when patients feel they can relate to their therapist, and Nicole strives to work with you to give you the best possible help and be a part of your growth and development. Maria A. Bosnak, Limited Licensed Social Worker (LLMSW), holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University, with an Interpersonal Practice scope. Maria has worked with children of all ages, specifically adolescents, teens, young adults and families. Maria currently works at Youth Advancement Academy going on her fifth year, with students ages 14-20. Maria has worked as a liaison advocating and assisting students to obtain and inform themselves about community resources, alongside, helping them process the various changes and emotions they are experiencing. Maria has shown to be effective in developing healthy long-lasting therapeutic relationships. She has experience working with many life themes; grief, depression, anxiety, relationships self-esteem, academics, teen pregnancy, foster care, substance use, social media and other difficult issues that adolescents, teen, and young adults face. Maria utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques such as, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused and additional methods aligning with best practices and creatively addressing the unique needs of each client. Maria’s fulfillment comes from her work and unexpected encounters in the community in which she has the opportunity to deliver the passion, humanity and skill necessary to elicit the best outcomes for clients and community members. Maria has a very deep passion working with teenagers who have not been afforded as many life shaping opportunities as others, so that they may develop the self-efficacy needed to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
